I’m always looking for new ways to simplify my life. Here are three “Mom Hack” that I’ve been using lately and can’t wait to share with you!
Fix Broken Boxes
I love to keep original boxes for toys and games, and sometimes the boxes stop closing well. My trick is to use a little circle of Velcro to hold the box shut. I like the sticker type of Velcro for an easy fix!
Battle the Puzzle Clutter
I don’t know about you but we have a lot of puzzles! I feel like I’m always fighting the puzzle clutter and it gets complicated trying to match them up when they are all over the floor simultaneously. My hack is to mark a colored dot on the back of each puzzle piece so that the colors coordinate with the puzzles (all green dots for Puzzle 1, all purple dots for Puzzle 2, and so on). If you run out of colors, you can always do shapes or symbols.
Easy Cleanup for Dry Erase Boards
Struggling to get a dry erase marker off your dry erase boards and books? Use a baby wipe! They wipe right off. If wipes aren’t cutting it for you, try using beauty puffs. I get mine at the Dollar Tree and get them a little wet and then use them to wipe off my boards. The best part is that I can then throw them straight into the laundry!
Fight the Finer Paint Mess
What to do when your child is finger painting but wants to switch colors? Use a sponge or a square piece of a sponge to wipe off fingers before moving off to a new color. So easy!
